Drawing Now: a contemporary art show

For four days, collectors, curators, professionals and art lovers are invited to meet artists and gallery owners to discover the diversity of contemporary drawing today through the works of emerging and well-known artists.For its sixth edition, DRAWING NOW will be held from Thursday, March 29 to Sunday, April 1 2012 at the Carrousel du Louvre.

A well-organized event as follows:
DRAWING NOW-REFERENCE about 70 well-established galleries including over a third that are international and two galleries from New York.
DRAWING NOW-EMERGENCE adopt a new outlook on over a dozen galleries that are under 4 years of age to focus on the work of artists who are under 40.
DRAWING NOW-VIDEO curated by the Salon team, the support of Brett Littman (director of the Drawing Center New York) will also be part of the award jury.
DRAWING-TALKS: For the first time, a program of meetings around the contemporary design will allow artists, collectors of all generations, institutions and galleries to share their experiences and networks.
At the heart of the show, Catherine Millet, art critic and founder of Art Press, tells about his Imaginary Museum of Contemporary Drawing.
DRAWING NOW-PRIZE contemporary design will be awarded to an artist under 50 years old. This prize is awarded by the Endowment Fund for Contemporary Drawing and supported by SOFERIM.
At 17 Rue Richelieu, 5 minutes from the Carrousel du Louvre, DRAWING NOW – OUTSIDE THE WALLS will be dedicated to all the experiments of contemporary drawing.
Two floors of a building will be transformed by the works of artists on the walls, floor, projection or on the facade there will even be a huge laboratory of contemporary drawing.
