This week will mark the inauguration of two exhibitions: Louis Vuitton – Marc Jacobs at Arts décoratifs and a unique retrospective of the work of Tim Burton at the Cinémathèque Française. Also showing, an original collaboration at Crasy Horse featuring “guest creator” Christian Louboutin who has designed four scenes. Good week ahead!

TIM BURTON À LA CINEMATHEQUE :
If you do not know Tim Burton, it’s time to discover his work at Cinémathèque Française. All of his films will be shown as well as a selection of films chosen by the filmmaker. An exhibition designed and executed by the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA) will also allow you to learn about his skills as a drawer, a photographer and a videographer. LOUIS VUITTON & MARC JACOBS:
This exhibition presents the story of two well-known personalities, Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs (creative director of Louis Vuitton), and highlights their contributions to the world of fashion. How did they know in which to innovate and advance an entire industry? How did these two men, each in their own language appropriate the phenomena and cultural codes to write the history of fashion?

RODIN DESSINATEUR :
You have until April 1 2012 to discover designer Rodin: nearly 300 of his drawings that were made in the last 30 years of his life. Auguste Rodin was not only a painter, as he also mastered the art of drawing and watercolor and at the end of the year 1890, he began a career as a designer. This became evident when the sculptor exhibited his graphic works in Berlin, in 1903, as he showed off nearly three hundred drawings in the eighth Secession. LES MASQUES DE JADE MAYAS:
The Pinacothèque of Paris continues its exploration of pre-Columbian and Mesoamerican cultures. After the success of its exhibition on The Gold of the Incas: origins and mysteries, the Pinacothèque of Paris presents the most important archaeological discovery of the last decade in Mexico: the jade mosaic masks. These jade masks were found in Mayan tombs of the elite. The funerary masks represent the faces of great Maya leaders. ROBERT DOISNEAU :
The Halles district is changing. For this occasion, the City of Paris has dedicated an exhibition to Robert Doisneau who photographed the neighborhood from 1833 until his death.
